“ I just wanna say I'm from southern Oregon we have nothing like this pizza in southern Oregon , no authentic NY style pizzas. I'm greeted with a nice man at the register who tells me he's been making pizza for over a decade he offers me all the slices of pie. I make up my mind by pepperoni, chicken garlic and they are amazing pizzas I'm surprised Dave Portnoy hasn't made his way over here. I take a seat at the table and they deliver the food to the table and I enjoy it with my Coke. End up going back for a 3rd slice thank you for this amazing Food ”
“ 11.96 for 2 slices and a drink for the lunch special. Not a bad deal. Chose thin slices, and they were good. ”
“ As a native NYer who has transplanted to CA, I am always looking for decent pizza. I highly recommend Giovanni's. The pizza and wings were delicious! ”
“ Giovanni's is the best NY style pizza place in SacTown. The interior decoration with the photos of Manhattan and Frank Sinatra playing in the background, there's nothing like it. Not to mention the owner is a real New Yorker, and the workers in the back are legit. God bless Giovanni's ”
“ Authentic New York pizza in the heart of Sacramento! What more could you possibly want? I personally fell in love with the pesto pizza, so I really haven't branched out much and tried others. I can attest to the superior quality of the dough and the delicious flavors. There's plenty of parking nearby. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. There are lots of table options so it's good for groups or dining alone, a must! ”
“ This is probably the only pizza I would eat in all of Sacramento. Giovanni's saves me a trip down to Golden Boy in SF and actually does the job in terms of satisfying the craving. Do they have the best NY style pie? Absolutely not. If this place was in New York - it would be a dime a dozen. However, the fact that they're in Sacramento - a region of California that has virtually no passion for good burgers or pizzas - makes them stand out like a sore thumb. I think it's safe to say that they have some of the best NY style pies within a 100 mile radius. Plus, their lunch specials are amazing! $11 for two slices and a drink. You can't top that in 2025. ”
“ This is the spot for family, kids, and sports meetups (soccer, baseball, etc). The husband is still on a pizza kick, we got a recommendation from a friend on this spot, and we found ourselves here on a Saturday night. The space: lots of long tables, tables for 4, and space for kid to run around. Not politely run around, but RUN around. If you do not have kids, this may not be the place for you from 5-6 PM. It's gonna be loud. However, it got quiet around 8pm, bc most families left at that time for bed time. The food: The pizza is a New York style pie. It was done well. Better than Uncle Vitos in Downtown Sacramento for sure. I loved that they had other items on their menu if you didn't want pizza. For example, they had a calzone, wings, pitchers of beer, etc. We also ordered wings. I was expecting the wings to be baked and kinda soggy, however they were deliciously fired and sauced to perfection. The ranch sauce was also super yummy. I never comment on Ranch, but their version was creamy and tasty. Almost had an in-house taste feel. I would definitely come back again with more friends with kids. ”
“ Good pizza in a good location. Service was quick Lots of games on the 4 TVs (and one movie) ”
“ Nothing goes with a work meeting like pizza! Had Giovanni's delivered for the team. Testament to good ingredients. The pepperoni was on point and the veggie was outstanding. As NY Ex Pat, I'm picky with my pizza and Gionanni's does it right. Thin, foldable crust with just the right bite. Hadn't had it in ages but it was just as good as I remember. ”
